1. Using Hodgkin–Huxley model , to understand generating action potential of a neuron and to describe in detail how an action potential is initiated and propagated.
2. To explore classical current clamp experiment protocol and to study the nature of spiking using current injection.
3. To understand the function of excitable cells, and to learn how the kinetics of voltage activated ion channels such as Na+, K+ affect the excitation in cells.
